UMĚNÍ JSOU PŘEDSTAVY, KTERÉ NĚKDO NAMALUJE, VŠICHNI VIDÍ, ALE NENÍ JASNÉ, JESTLI JE NĚKDO ZAPLATÍ.

MANIFEST (THE MANIFESTO) / 2012
wooden boards different size - 190cm x 190cm x 90cm
The Pavion Gallery Prague 2012
Installation is part of one day performance. My artistic manifesto was read by a performer Johana Švarcová - exactly one day before the opening. The installation of the missing word was the only witness. Text was burned afterwards and there is no other copy left. Public came on the spot the very next day and therefore they experienced the text only through its absence.

GRAND PRIX / 2011
size of the actual cut out flag 0,7m x 0,5m;
size of the photographic raster on the wall 3m x 9m,
wooden wall, white paint, lighted black and white photographic paper
Exhibitor and his public
The Brno House of Arts Brno 2011
Installation consists of a fictive image of two racing flags. From a distance they appear to be painted on the wall. In reality black and white raster is created by 192 photo prints (27cm x 27cm) hanged on distant gallery wall. The actual color of the photo paper is caused only by natural light of the room. Viewer can see the illusion of a 2D image from a certain viewpoint.
Installation also comments actual natural and historical condition of the place. Brno – capital of Moravia is historically known for its racing tradition. Back in early 20th Century Brno become centre of the car and bike race movement. Even through the socialist regime the myth of motor-sport was tolerated by the communist establishment. Racing flags created from sources found on the scene are my homage to city’s both romantic and passionate temper.
GRAND PRIX / 2011
size of the actual cut out flag 0,7m x 0,5m;
size of the photographic raster on the wall 3m x 9m,
wooden wall, white paint, lighted black and white photographic paper
Exhibitor and his public
The Brno House of Arts Brno 2011
Aim was to crate situation where simple sign of a flag – was build up by specific spatial condition. The most distant plan is “unsubstantial” raster. The front plan (wall with the holes) masks the background and therefore creates option to discover a pictorial message. The movement of viewer finally produces an experience of “seeing an image”. Visitor both faces the fact of the visible sign and at the same time observes its ambivalence.
